This is the first step.... I admit it. I admit I have let myself slip in to the abyss.
I've recently learned that I have no empathy not even for myself. So I will now try to communicate effectively with myself for a moment.
Hey self... Do you have a moment to really hear what I have to say to you....
I appreciate the truly selfless work you have done over the years. Your commitment to the greater tasks that had to be completed has been a godsend for many. Yet I am noticing something has been really off with you over the last year or three. It is now starting to manifest in your outer shell, your physical body. I love you for who you are, who you have been and who you work so diligently to become. This is why, Tamika, I am asking you to take a hard long look at yourself on this day, in this moment. It is time to take action to attain something that is completely and solely for your own good. I am asking you to commit to your physical health and well being. I am asking you to be vain for the sake of vanity. I am asking you to look good, fine, fit and health for you. Are you able to do that, are you willing to do that? I truly hope you are....
